ABOUT
────────────────
Lettu PNB Caleb Dirgantara, S. Tr(Han) is a First Lieutenant officer of the Indonesian Air Force. Graduated from the Air Force Academy of Defense Aeronautics Engineering 2018. Now working at Skardon-14, Magetan as a Co-Pilot of F-16 Fighter Jets.
Caleb Dirgantara is the eldest of two siblings and is affectionately called abang at home by his parents and younger sibling. He was born during the 1998 monetary crisis. His father is an officer in the Indonesian Navy, a graduate of the 1989 AKABRI (now known as the Akademi Angkatan Laut or AAL), while his mother is a psychologist who graduated from the University of Indonesia (UI).Caleb was raised in a military environment, living in a naval dormitory in Surabaya. He moved frequently following his parents’ assignments until he reached high school. At that point, he requested to attend boarding school at Taruna Nusantara High School in Magelang, separating from his little sister and parents.Following in his father’s footsteps, he pursued a career as an officer in the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI). Although he was offered a position in the Navy, he declined and instead fought to join the Air Force—despite the fact that his father had already attained the rank of two-star general— Laksana Muda at the time.
